The Guild of Students offers a range of versatile meeting rooms available to hire to organisations looking to hold meetings or events. We can offer large conference style events for up to 200 delegates, and we also have a number of smaller rooms; ideal for meetings, interviews or training courses. There are also a variety of catering options available, providing hot or cold food, tea, coffee etc.

Find Us

  • Leave at Junction 6 (signposted Birmingham Central) to join the A38(M)
  • At the end of the motorway, keep to the right, go over a flyover, then through some underpasses to join the A38 Bristol Road
  • Turn right onto Edgbaston Park Road, the Guild of Students is on your left two and a half miles from the city centre

Approaching from the M42 north

  • Leave at Junction 8 to join the M6 northbound and follow the instructions above

Approaching from the south west

  • Leave the M5 at Junction 4 signposted Birmingham SW) to join the A38
  • The Guild of Students is approximately eight miles from the motorway

Approaching from the M40

  • It is easier to turn south on the M42 and leave at Junction 1, heading north on the A38 Bristol Road
  • The Guild of Students is approximately eight miles from the motorway
 

By Rail

Most cross-country services to Birmingham arrive at New Street Station. Up to six trains an hour depart for the University on the cross-city line (ten minutes to University station, final destination Longbridge or Redditch). The Guild of Students is a five-minute walk from University Station.

By Bus

Numbers 61, X62 and 63 travel to the Guild of Students. Each service runs frequently from the city centre.

By Foot

The Guild of Students is in easy walking distance from the Vale and Selly Oak. There are a number of routes, the most popular to and from Selly Oak is via the walkway adjacent to the all weather sports pitches.

By Bike

The Guild of Students is easily accessible by bicycle, cycle racks can be found in numerous locations across the University campus. For students living in Selly Oak the South Gate entrance as a cycle path leading to the back of the Guild of Students.
