► Recruitment

Welcome to the Student Mentor Scheme (SMS) Recruitment!

Mentors and Team Leaders can make a real difference to the lives of other students in University residences. They are there to listen, support and make appropriate referrals to specialist sources of help where necessary, whilst empowering students to manage their own issues. Residential Mentors and Team Leaders are students of University of Birmingham who live in university residences.

If you feel you have what it takes to be apart of a successful Student Mentoring Scheme whilst doing something that is both rewarding and fulfilling, then this could be for you!

Recruitment for Residential Mentors and Team Leaders for the 2010/11 academic year will commence from Monday 11th January 2010. The deadline is 22nd January 2010.

The Student Mentor Scheme will also be recruiting for Non-Residential Mentors commencing 22nd February 2010, at which point more information will be available.

If you are interested in applying please download an application pack  and application form and return to the Job Zone.

In the meantime, for more information or an informal discussion about the role(s) please contact the Mentor office on 0121 251 2395 or mentors@guild.bham.ac.uk
