
The Guild has four media groups, located in the basement of the Guild of Students, so whether you're interested in print, broadcast or photographic journalism there's something for everyone. Each group offers training and skills to anyone who has an interest in the media and by getting involved you can not only gain valuable experience but also use your skills to communicate to wider student body.
BURN is the University’s radio station, and gives you all of the skills involved in radio broadcasting. They usually broadcast on FM for about a month of the year, and stream online throughout the Autumn and Spring terms.

Photosoc is for anyone interested in photography, absolute beginner or professional. They cover all things photography including workshops, classes, trips around Birmingham and the rest of the country and hold a big exhibition at least once per year.
Photosoc regularly host professional guest photographers to share their great work and knowledge in photography, media and business. They have a collection of photographic equipment for anything from getting used to how digital cameras work to setting up a portable studio to developing films in the society darkroom.
