It’s likely that as a student you will take paid employment at some point during your University career. You may have questions on anything from how to find employment to your rights as an employee. You may also need support and representation against a difficult employer.
Advisors at the ARC work with the Job zone providing initial information and support on the following employment issues:
• Minimum Wage
• What to do if you haven’t been paid?
• Income Tax
• National Insurance
• Contracts of employment
• Dismissal
• Discrimination
• International Students - right to work
• Rights during employment e.g. to holiday, sick leave etc
