H.M.S. Pinafore in Concert

The University of Birmingham Gilbert & Sullivan Society will be performing a concert version of H.M.S. Pinafore, or The Lass that Loved a Sailor; one of Gilbert and Sullivan's best known operettas. A captain's daughter falls in love with a lowly sailor, and whilst they are happy together, some are intent on destroying their happiness... With its catchy tunes and witty satire, H.M.S. Pinafore's mirth and merriment illustrates a theme that is timeless - love between members of different social classes.

The concert will take place in Selly Oak Methodist Church, Langley's Rd, B29 6HT.
