How to access advice from the ARC
There are several ways you can access advice from the ARC:
Step 1: Check out our Advice Directs
Our online Advice Directs cover a range of topics, from housing repair issues to making an academic appeal. Before contacting the ARC please have a look through the online advice, as you may be able to find the advice you are seeking. Click here to go to the Advice Directs.
Step 2: Then either:-
Send us an email:
You can email us with your enquiry at firstname.lastname@example.org. We aim to respond to emails within two working days. To help our advisers to answer your query, please provide as much information as possible in your email. Please note, that more complex matters could be referred to a drop-in service.
Come to our Drop-in Service:
If your issue is urgent or you would prefer to talk to an Advisor face-to-face, you can come to our Diagnostic Drop-in Service. Students are seen on a first-come-first-served basis, so at busy times of the year please be aware that you may have to wait to be seen. Please bring any information that relates to your enquiry with you to the drop-in service, for example correspondence from the University or your housing contract.
Diagnostic Drop-in Service Times (Term Time & Vacation):
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 12pm - 2pm
Wednesday: 2pm - 4pm*
(*During Vacation this changes to 12pm - 2pm)
Step 3: Allocation to an Advisor
Finally, in certain cases it may be necessary to allocate your enquiry to a full case with an Advisor and we will contact you to confirm an appropriate appointment outside of our drop-in session.
