Guild Advice are looking for volunteers for our new International Buddying Scheme! The scheme is a peer to peer service that provides informal support and guidance on how to engage in wider community activities, enabling international students to meet people from other countries and fully integrate into University life.
We are looking for Volunteers to be a Global Buddy - a point of contact for international students throughout their first year at the University of Birmingham and prior to their arrival. Each volunteer will be allocated a small number of international students with a view to help them settle in.
We are looking for reliable volunteers with experience of life at the University. You must have excellent social skills and empathy towards issues that may affect international students.
Please note if your application is shortlisted you will be invited to interview and, if successful, full training will be provided.
