As you may remember that recent Budget & Autumn Statement announcements included the proposed introduction of government loans for postgraduate study.
The Department for Business, Innovation & Skills is currently undertaking a public consultation which will help determine the design and final terms of the loan scheme. They're looking specifically for views on:
* The proposed loan system for postgraduate taught master’s students. Under this scheme, anyone under 30 who is eligible and accepted to study will be able to apply for a loan of up to £10,000.
* Views and evidence on how the government can improve support for postgraduate research (including both PhD and MRes) students.
If you're a current postgraduate student - or may consider postgraduate study in the future! - and you've got an opinion on any of these issues, we'd encourage you to submit a response to the consultation, which is open until Friday 29th May.
