It was 2014 when I was a new International student from Azerbaijan (far east Europe) in the University of Birmingham. I know what it feels like to be away from your family, friends and have more duties to deal with. I have lived all that. Now I feel in hear like at home, I have made very good friends and I enjoy my study and extra-curricular activities.
Throughout last one year and half I have been student representative for foundation year and Chair of the Staff Student Liaison Meetings, and currently am 1st year Student representative for School of Chemical Engineering, RA for Shackleton Hall and Chair of the Azerbaijani Society. I know what students, especially International students, want, I know the struggles they face and I know what they need in order to overcome all that!
