As part of the Guild of Students ‘Go Green Week’ we are offering the opportunity for students to take part in some FREE cycle training.  ‘Bikeability’ is the national standard of cycle training. It covers rules of the road for cyclists, and how to safely interact with other road users. Learn valuable skills on how to enjoy the many benefits of cycle commuting.  This training is appropriate for people who can already ride a bike but need to improve their skills and confidence on the road.

Training will take place across two 2 hour sessions on Thursday 8th February (from 12-2 and 2-4) starting at the Guild of Students building on campus. Sessions will be led by two qualified instructors.  No specialist cycling clothing is required but please wrap up warm and wear something sensible / comfortable.  Helmets are a requirement, but we can provide if you do not have your own.  It is also best to learn on your own bicycle but if you do not have one or cannot get it to campus we have limited bikes available on a first come first serve basis.
