This will be our second residential trip this year and we are going to Preston Montford Field Centre which is part of the Field Studies Council, an environmental education charity. We will be staying at the centre and be provided with full board and food (they do really good cake!). It will be a packed weekend of a variety of conservation activities: pond vegetation clearance, bracken bashing, hedge coppicing or laying. There is also the chance to learn some species identification skills, receiving training from the Preston Montford staff.
Friday 1st March 16.30 till Sunday 3rd March 18.00
We will be meeting at university station for 4.30 to catch the 4.45 train going to Shrewsbury where we will be picked up and taken to the centre. We will be returning on Sunday aiming to be back at university station at 18.05.
The price of the trip is more expensive than last time but we’ve got a lot on offer for you guys so please come along, it’s a great opportunity!!
