Join your Community Wardens for a litter pick to clean the streets of Selly. We want students, residents and everyone else who cares about the local area to come together to make the area a little cleaner, greener and a prettier for everyone living in our community.
You may think that anything to do with litter can’t be fun but a litter pick can be a fun and rewarding way of volunteering to help your community. Not only does a litter pick help make Selly Oak a cleaner place to live it also helps you meet new people, work off some extra calories (an average litter pick can help you burn off 232 calories!), and get some great work experience for your CV. Plus you get the added bonus of seeing the results on the streets where you live!
Meet us in reception at the Guild of Students to get kitted out. We’ll be out picking for around an hour or so then return to the Guild for refreshments.
