'Papa don't believe them; they are pirates - the famous Pirates of Penzance!

The University of Birmingham Gilbert and Sullivan Society presents 'The Pirates of Penzance', a swashbuckling adventure set in Victorian Cornwall. The naive Frederic is released from his apprenticeship to a band of well-meaning yet inept Pirates. His first steps on land see him falling in love with the beautiful Mabel. With the arrival of her father, Major General Stanley, and the return of the Pirates, a series of events threaten to take away Frederic's new found happiness.

A spectacle of some of Sullivan's most widely recognised tunes, Pirates of Penzance is an exhilarating and entertaining evening at the theatre!
