Grad Ball 2017

We cordially invite you to celebrate the end of the year in style at the Guild’s Grad Ball 2017 on Thursday 8th June!

For one night only campus will be transformed to bring you:

  • DINNER - Get on your glad rags and get ready to enjoy a delicious three course meal in the Great Hall
  • THE EVENT - Chart topping live acts (line-up to be announced), a fairground, silent disco, bandeoke, specialist cocktail and gin bars and much more!
  • AFTER PARTY - Head back to the Guild for one last big night out!

Tickets for this year’s Grad Ball will be sold online, right here. Tickets will be available online only at 7pm on Tuesday 2nd May.

VIP tickets go on sale at 7pm and Event tickets at 8pm

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are limited to two VIP and four Event & After Party tickets per student. You can only attend the After Party by purchasing the Event & After Party or VIP ticket package.

Ticket Packages

Purchasing your tickets is easy.

  1. Log in to Guildofstudents.com via my.bham
  2. Return to this ticket page and select the quantity of tickets you wish to purchase
  3. Select ‘Check Out’ and pay (Please note tickets will be held in your cart for a maximum of 15 minutes before being released)
  4. Print your e-ticket and exchange at the Guild for a Grad Ball tickets. Tickets can be exchanged from Thursday 1st June – Wednesday 7th June between 2:00pm and 7:00pm from The pod, retail area, within the Guild of Students (entrance from Mermaid Square) Please bring your student ID card. Only purchasers can exchange tickets.

How do I purchase my GradBall ticket?

Simply log in to the Guild of Students website via the my.bham portal and then click the Grad Ball button on our home page - or the handy link at the bottom of this article!

You must log in through my.bham to buy your ticket. We recommend trying this out before tickets go on sale so you can check your username and password are working properly.

REMEMBER: YOUR TICKET WILL ONLY BE HELD FOR 15 MINUTES IN YOUR SHOPPING BASKET BEFORE BEING RELEASED AGAIN FOR SALE. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT QUICKLY!

How do I log in via my.bham?

It’s really simple!

  1. Head here and use your University details to log in
  2. Select the Guild of Students icon from your “Top Picks”
  3. You’ll automatically be redirected to the Guild website!

I’m having problems paying – what should I do?

First, make sure you're typing in the correct card details - it's easy to forget whether the bank has your home or term-time address. Make sure you enter the address you registered your card to, and not just where you happen to be living now! The most common problem we had last year was people being told they had "insufficient authorisation" because their address details didn’t match those held by their bank. Check and double check what you're inputting!

If that doesn't solve the problem, send us an email to website@guild.bham.ac.uk and we'll do our best to help you out. You'll make it easy for us to help you if you include your full name, student number AND a screenshot of your problem!

When can you help me with a problem?

Remember, although we can check email and social media during office hours, we have homes to go! Please bear with us and don’t expect an immediate response if, for example, it’s 2am in the morning.

We will be able to provide support on Tuesday 2nd May until 9pm, and then 9am -5pm for the rest of the week.

What do the different types of ticket include?

  1. VIP (on sale 7pm) Includes everything: Dinner, Event & After Party access. Cost £77.00 + booking fee
  2. EVENT & AFTER PARTY (on sale 8pm) Includes Event and After Party access. Cost £47.00 + booking fee
  3. DINNER & EVENT (on sale 7pm) Includes the dinner and event only. Cost £70.00 + booking fee
  4. EVENT ONLY (on sale 8pm) Includes event only. Cost £40.00 + booking fee.

How many tickets can I buy?

VIP tickets and Dinner Only tickets are limited to TWO per student. Event & After Party and Event Only tickets are limited to FOUR per student.

Priority Pass holders can purchase ONE ticket during the PreSale period.

Can non-UOB students attend?

Yes, but only as guests of UOB students. If you’d like to bring a guest, you’ll need to ensure they have proof-of-age I.D. (over 18s only!) and that you accompany them throughout the night.

I’ve got a Priority Pass – when can I buy my tickets?

If you bagged yourself a Priority Pass during our Final Year Freebies competition, then you can buy your Graball tickets early.

Priority Pass tickets will be on sale from 12pm – 11pm on Thursday 27th April from the Guild of Students website. Tickets are limited to 1 per pass holder.
