GENERAL DUTIES:
1. To promote elections by supporting candidates with activities such as leafleting on campus and social media support.
3. To provide additional support, if necessary, to candidates with disabilities, this may include note taking, lecture shout outs, putting up posters etc.
4. General administrative duties: Filing and archiving confidential information, opening and distributing post, answering phone calls and emails.
4. To provide support at Guild events, such as Hustings and well-being sessions as necessary.
5. To carry out other duties which naturally fall within the reasonable expectations of the role.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
The person specification describes the knowledge, experience and abilities that the Guild is looking for in the student staff we employ. To be successful, during the selection process (application form and interview) you should demonstrate:
- Experience of working in a customer service role would be desirable.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong customer focus with an awareness of your impact on the customer.
- Excellent communication skills - with students and staff.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible, committed, reliable and punctual.
- Able to stay calm and friendly under pressure in a relatively busy environment.
- Ability to work well in a team, but also on own initiative
