Twin Summer Centres is looking for House Parents for our residential centre based Royal Leamington Spa College in Leamington Spa.

The position includes delivering a high quality activity and excursion programme to international students aged 8-18 (depending on the centre), maintaining proper levels of student safety, discipline and welfare and day-to-day running of a boarding house; ensuring students are safe and happy in their accommodation. 

Principle accountabilities:

  • Ensuring the boarding house provides a safe and secure environment for students
  • Providing extra support for students that are ill, homesick, or in any way vulnerable
  • Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of students at all times 

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level
  • HSE-recognised First Aid certificate (such as St John's First Aid at Work) desirable 
  • At least strong B2 level of English

Working week (6 days) is made up of Activity Leader duties such as activities, excursions, airport meet and greets, meetings, supervision duties and 3 hours of preparation time; and House Parents wake-up (7.00-8.00) and/or pre-bedtime (22.00-23.00), oversee the day-to-day running of the boarding house and carry out welfare and administrative duties. They are also on-call overnight to deal with emergencies.

We offer 2-6 week contracts paid at £445 per week (including full board accommodation in single ensuite room) and statutory holiday pay (calculated at 12.07% of gross pay).

Leamington Spa Centre is open 04.07-15.08.18 and you must be able to attend an induction on 02.07-03.07.18 for which you will be paid £132 on completion of contract.
