This role will commence in May.

Please note that we will expect you to work end of term 3 as well as during Welcome Week (Sept 2018).

Role includes working as part of the Catering team in the Venues food outlet, contributing to a positive and productive atmosphere, following legal, Guild and brand standards with regards to environment, food storage, preparation and production.

These vacancies are open to students that will be studying here at the University of Birmingham until at least June 2019.

Responsible to: Venues Duty Managers

Outline of Post: Role includes working as part of the Catering team in the Venues food outlet, contributing to a positive and productive atmosphere, following legal, Guild and brand standards with regards to environment, food storage, preparation and production.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • To carry out all duties in a non-aggressive, but when required assertive, manner. At all times full regard must take of the Guilds equal opportunities policy.
  • To enforce fire regulations and operate the evacuation procedure when the fire alarm sounds.
  • To attend work looking clean, smart and wearing the uniform and any protective clothing provided, name badges must be worn at all times.
  • To attend and complete compulsory training as required.
  • To carry out other duties which naturally fall within the reasonable expectations of the post.
