This role is part of the Student Voice & Representation department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s student advice, representation, democracy, policy and campaigns work. The Student Voice & Representation Team is part of the Support & Representation Directorate.
The Senior Advice Coordinator role is responsible for supervising, developing and supporting staff to deliver the Student Voice and Representation departmental plan. You will act as a role model for the required standard of values, behaviour and performance. We expect Senior Coordinators to help to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all.
In this role you will supervise, support and develop the staff who work in the Guild Advice Centre, ensuring effective recruitment, induction and development in line with the Guild’s policies and competency framework.
You will also develop the operational plans for the Advice Centre as agreed with the Student Voice & Representation Manager. This includes summarising meeting papers, research topics, compiling statistics, trends and issues, and preparing briefings to support University and Guild committees.
