Free Vacancy Service
Our basic vacancy promotion service is free! We promote part-time or casual vacancies that guarantee an hourly rate of at least National Minimum Wage (up to 16 hours per week during term, and full-time during vacations) on our Guild of Students online jobs board, vacancy boards in the Guild (the Student’s Union) and also through our social media pages.
We will only advertise roles that comply with this Code of Practice and Guild of Student policies. However, we do reserve the right to refuse opportunities that we do not deem acceptable. You can download our code of practice here
We operate as a free service on the basis that we collect statistics about how many students we are able to find vacancies for and also gather your feedback on the service we provide to employers. Once your vacancy has expired, we will send you a feedback form to complete and return to us. Alternatively we will call you to see how your recruitment has gone and how we can support you further!

We host 3 Jobs fairs every academic year – our dates for the 2017/18 academic year are:
- Welcome Week Jobs Fair: Tuesday 19th September, 11am – 4pm
- Jingle Bell Jobs Fair: Wednesday 1st November, 11am – 2pm
- Jobs and Volunteering Fair: Wednesday 17th January 2018, 11am – 3pm
We also offer drop-in days and poster displays in our students union.
