Our basic vacancy promotion service is free. We promote part-time or casual vacancies on our online jobs board, Guild of Students vacancy boards as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages. For internships and graduate work, you can advertise through the University’s Careers Network – for details please click here.
Last year we advertised over 5168 vacancies from 264 employers. In total, 1545 University of Birmingham students secured part-time or vacation work through the service and they earned over £2.6 million in wages.
Employers are pleased with our service, reporting an average satisfaction rating of 9.3 out of 10. One employer said, ‘Both the number and the quality of the students who have applied have been marvellous.’ Another told us that ‘the whole process was very simple and smooth for us’.

We will only advertise roles that guarantee an hourly rate of at least National Minimum Wage (up to 16 hours per week during term, and full-time during vacations). All vacancies must comply with our Code of Practice: please click here to download.

Our jobs fairs are popular with students because they offer the opportunity to meet employers, learn about opportunities and ask questions.
