Safeguarding Issues

The University of Birmingham Guild of Students is committed to ensuring that a safe and supportive environment exists for all staff, Officers, volunteers, students and visitors to the Guild. The Guild recognises that there are a number of circumstances in which children, young people and adults at risk will come onto Guild premises or otherwise have contact with Guild staff, Officers, volunteers, students or visitors.

If you would like to discuss a safeguarding issue, please e-mail safeguarding@guild.bham.ac.uk.

Please note that staff will not be available during the week from 4.30 p.m. – 9.30 a.m. and at the weekends. If you have any safeguarding issues in between these times, please contact the out of hours Social Services emergency team on 0121 675 4806 for adults referrals, and 0121 675 4806 for child protection referrals.

If you perceive that there is a serious danger to a person’s life, please contact the police on 999.
