appgroupsnewsrepresentationsupport
"On 8 June we are being asked to make a decision that will determine the future direction of the UK.

The General Election is your opportunity to elect our parliamentary representatives for the next five years and ultimately decide who will form the Government of the United Kingdom. The outcome will have a lasting impact upon the society that we live in so we urge all British and Commonwealth citizens to have your say and vote in the election.

To ensure you do not miss out on your right to vote please check that you are listed on the electoral register before the deadline of Monday 22 May.

The University provides a neutral space for informed and balanced debate. As an inclusive and tolerant institution we are offering the opportunity for all sides to express their position and to help our campus community to be better informed about the topics shaping this election.

We are hosting a number of events to give you the chance to challenge party representatives and hear expert analysis of the issues at the heart of this election.

Further information on registering to vote and events to be held on campus can be found on the intranet.

Your vote matters and we encourage you to use it."

Best wishes
