Our annual fireworks celebration is nearly here and you are ALL invited!
Vale Fireworks, taking place this Thursday, 7th November, is now a grand old campus tradition and we want you all to come along and enjoy it. Whether you’re a student at the University of Birmingham, a member of staff, or part of our community – we’d love to see you there.
What’s the plan?
This FREE event will be open from 7pm with the fireworks display kicking off at 9pm. We’ll have plenty of food stalls for you to have a nibble, classic funfair rides and attractions, and of course, a spectacular fireworks display to end the night in style.
What should I bring?
We want you to have the best time as possible, so there a few things to remember. All the stalls and funfair rides will be CASH ONLY, and the on-site cash point is likely to get very busy on the night. We’d recommend bringing some cash along with you so you’re not left disappointed.
Can I park on campus?
You can park for FREE on campus, after 6pm, and take a short stroll across to the Vale. There is also NO parking available on the Vale, or along Edgbaston Park Road, as the whole area is taken up by the event.
Please note that disabled toilet facilities will be available at Shackleton Hall. You’ll also find an accessible viewing platform available through the Duck and Scholar pub.
Wrap up warm, get ready to take some gorgeous snaps – not forgetting to tag #ValeFireworks –and most importantly, enjoy an amazing night with your friends, colleagues and family!
