This year, over 40 volunteering groups dedicated their time to campaigning, fundraising, raising awareness and working in the local community.
The total amount fundraised by student volunteering groups in 2016-17 came to over £250,000!
As well as fundraising this amazing amount, our volunteers:
- Provided over 2,000 hours of first aid support at events such as London Marathon, V Festival and Grand National
- Provided over 650 volunteering hours providing support for 800 different asylum seekers and refugees, including play schemes, football sessions and English Conversation club
- Tutored 50 students at GCSE and A-Level in various schools in the local area
- Participated in international volunteering projects in Kenya and Bulgaria
