What do RA's do?

Students living in halls of residence are represented by an RA committee (RA) – and there’s one committee per hall! RAs are elected to work with the Guild to provide a timetable of events and activities, as well as to represent their residents. It is a fantastic opportunity to get experience in event management, lead your hall and make the most of your first year.

Each resident contributes towards the RA scheme through their rent, so we need to ensure they are getting value for money. RAs are also an important point of communication between hall staff and students. They can collect any feedback you may have, and relay this to the relevant people to ensure the best possible outcome for you as a resident.

Each RA committee is made up of five committee members who are elected in November. More information on elections will be released closer to the time. To run for election, you need to be a first year student living in the Hall that you’d like to represent!
