Useful Forms and Procedures

 
As a committee member, there are certain things you need to do to ensure your student group runs as smoothly as possible. For more information on the things you should be thinking about in order for you to make it the best possible experience for you and your members, click here
 
Constitution template – A generic template for new groups to amend and use as needed. Updates need to be approved by the group at an AGM or EGM and then ratified by the Student Groups Committee 
 
Equipment inventory – You must submit an annual equipment inventory to tell us what your group owns and how much it’s worth
 
External membership form – Anyone that isn’t a current University of Birmingham student will need to fill out this form in addition to registering with the group, to ensure that they’re covered by our insurance 
 
Guild Council – Information on how Guild Council works and how it affects student groups
 
Key signatory sheet – This form tells us who should have access to your student group’s locker or room within the Guild.
 
Finance & VAT– tips on using your accounts
 
Equipment– borrowing equipment from StuDev and other groups, inventories and insurance
 
Diversity & Disability – making your group more accessible and diverse
 
Elections & Handover – holding AGMs and managing transitions
