Aspiring Solicitors

Aspiring Solicitors is a nationwide organisation committed to increasing diversity within the legal profession one step at a time, whilst also educating the next generation on the importance of diversity. Aspiring Solicitors aims to empower underrepresented groups by providing them with access to more law firms, more opportunity to get in front of law firms and personalised help and assistance throughout their journey to securing the legal career of their dreams. The Aspiring Solicitors society at UoB intend to implement this same mantra at our University. Through putting on a number of events and activities throughout the year, such as commercial awareness workshops, mock interviews, and skill specific talks, we aim help put you in the best position possible for your legal career.

We want to be more than just a society. We want to help everyone embrace their differences - as you will always be the best version of you! Diversity in the legal sector will not happen overnight, but here at AS we are committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure that this goal is achieved sooner rather than later.

The society is open to all students, regardless of your degree background and membership is only £3 for the year!

We look forward to helping you achieve your potential.
