The Book Club meets twice monthly to discuss some great books and then again to watch the film adaption of them. We're a very friendly, relaxed society that allows our members to meet new people, talk about some great books and eat lots of biscuits. So even if you aren't able to finish the texts you should still come along to the meetings and say hi (as long as you don't mind spoilers!).
This year we are reading:
‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ by Margaret Atwood, ‘The Remains of the Day’ by Kazuo Ishiguro, ‘The Blue Fox’ by Sjón, ‘The Map of Salt and Stars’ by Jennifer Zeynab Joukhadar, ‘Cat's Cradle’ by Kurt Vonnegut, ‘Call Me by Your Name’ by André Aciman, ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ by Celeste Ng and ‘Purple Hibiscus’ by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
We will post dates of meetings on here, through email, on Facebook and on Twitter.
If you have any questions about our meetings or the society just send us an email on the address below or send us a message on our facebook wall.
