In 2019, filmmaker Hind Meddab arrived in Khartoum as Sudan erupted against decades of military rule. She followed young revolutionaries for four years, from the fall of dictator Omar al-Bashir to brutal military repression and a counter-revolutionary war that has left the country devastated. Facing overwhelming force, civilians turned to poetry, music, and art as weapons of resistance. Sudan, Remember Us documents the uprising and honours creativity as a radical force against oppression. The screening is open to both students and staff, and it will end with a critical analysis of how the events in Sudan are interconnected.

This is a free event but please buy a ticket so we know attendance numbers.
