University is an exciting experience, but it can come with its ups and downs. Whether this relates to your studies, wellbeing or finances, there are many ways that you can access support to help you navigate university life, as outlined below.

So, whether you’re a first or fourth year, an Undergraduate or Postgraduate, please access support if you need it.

Guild Advice

If you need support with anything from academia to housing, wellbeing or money management – get in touch with Guild Advice for confidential support.

Accommodation

If you’re living in halls, we have a team of students who help you feel at home by providing support & offering advice to help you thrive in accommodation.

If you have concerns whilst living in the local area, you can get in contact with our team of students who ensure the neighbourhood is safer, cleaner and greener.

Not On

If you wish to take a stand against sexual harassment, you can sign the Not On pledge or attend a consent workshop. Learn all about the Not On campaign.

Umbrella Sexual Health Services Pop Up: 5th December 11:30am - 2:30pm; Guild of Students; Umbrella provide free, accessible and confidential sexual health services at the Guild including free condoms and STI testing as well as signposting to other services.

Community Christmas - Festive Food & Crafts: 5th December noon - 2:30pm; Amos & Beorma Bar; Join your Community Engagement Team for a cozy afternoon of hot-food, festive fun, and community-spirit this Christmas! Tickets are FREE and ft. a hot meal, Christmas craft activity, and chance to learn more about our Community Pantry & Cookbook.

Sustainable Christmas Crafts: 9th December 11am - 1pm; Canvas House, Selly Oak - 3A Teignmouth Rd, Birmingham B29 7BA; Come join us for a cosy craft session in Selly Oak's Canvas House. This is a *FREE EVENT*. No craft experience needed — just bring yourself and enjoy the festive fun!

Guild Advice drop in- Alan Walters: 9th December noon - 2pm; Alan Walters; Guild Advice are bringing their drop ins to you. Emergency Food parcels are available to collect weekly, Thursdays, 3-5pm once your form (linked in full event description) has been submitted.

Cultures Connect Winter Social: 17th December 2pm - 4pm; Mermaid Bar; Join your Ethnic Minority Students’ Officer and International Officer on Tuesday, 17th December, from 2–4 PM for a cozy Winter Social!
