All students have the right to appeal against any adverse decision made by the University where you have grounds to appeal. For example Mitigating Circumstances (such as illness) or Procedural Errors (such as being given the wrong exam paper). If you have genuine grounds, third party evidence to support them and have a good reason for not having told the University before then you can appeal.
Please see the Advice Direct guide for further information on how to appeal. The Advice & Representation Centre is also offering 20 minute appointments to check through your appeal form with you and answer any questions you may have.
