Guild Structure
Guild Council, the Officer Group and the Trustee Board have responsibility over how major decisions are made at the Guild.
Students are integral to our structure at every level and are at the heart of our
decision-making and how we operate and deliver our services.
Guild Council is the democratic voice of students at the University of Birmingham. By getting involved in Guild Council, students can make changes to how the Guild and University operate and highlight issues affecting students.
The Guild Officer Group provides democratic leadership to the Guild of Students and ensures that the Guild is working on issues most relevant to Birmingham students. The Staff Team support the Officer Group in achieving their objectives. They also have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Guild’s departments and services.
The Trustee Board provides guidance, expertise and strategic oversight for the Guild of Students.
