Student Mentor Scheme (SMS)

The Student Mentor Scheme provides advice and guidance to all students living in university accommodation. The service can be accessed by phone, email or by visiting the Student Mentor Scheme
in The Hub at the Vale. Fully trained Mentors and professional support staff will help you resolve any issue, no matter how big or small.
The Scheme can help with a variety of issues:
The Scheme offers a variety of services throughout the academic year. This includes a timetable of activities during Welcome Week, individual mentoring support, drop-ins during important times of the year and mediation to help you work through any flat issues. In addition, you will receive useful information to help tackle important student issues.
Visit our Student Mentors in The Hub at the Vale Monday to Friday during term time, between 4pm and 8pm or call 0121 415 8568. Click here for a map and directions to the Vale or ask at The Hub Reception for directions.
Outside of term time (excluding University Closed Days and weekends) support staff are available to help you between 10am and 4pm on the number above.
