"We're kicking off Term 3 with a great weekend sports round-up...

Men's University of Birmingham Cricket 2nd Team won their opener BUCS match against DeMontfort: UoB 220 all out off 42.4 overs, De Montfort 137 all out off 31 overs

University of Birmingham Water Polo Men had their BUCS Promotion Play-offs - and did not disappoint with a brilliant 6-3 win over Southampton!

UBSport Ultimate Men have be crowned NATIONAL CHAMPS after coming back from a half-time 7-4 down to take the victory against Dundee 9-7! Great performance and effort from the Team. The Women's team finished their season narrowly missing out on the Gold to take silver at the champs.

Birmingham University Windsurf Club had a brilliant weekend - I was getting excited by all the tweets! The team placed 3rd overall at BUCS, 2nd overall in their League and two impressive 2nd places for Lizzy in the BUCS Beginner category and for Sophie Harvey across all three disciplines - Waves, racing and freestyle. A club that has gone from strength to strength this season, so nice to see!

Big shout out to University of Birmingham Athletics & Cross Country Captain Cordelia Parker taking bronze in her age group at the European Duathlon Championships this weekend, and to PhD student Rosie Davies for taking Gold at the long champs last weekend! Two very impressive performances.

Plus, coming up...

Tonight is the chance for University of Birmingham Netball to enter the BUCS premiership next season as they take on Leeds in the play-offs. 6:30pm Munrow!

Our Cricket teams are back in action on Wednesday for their BUCS matches - men are taking on Nottingham and Women play away in Exeter!

National Champs this weekend for Athletics in Bedford, University of Birmingham Triathlon at the Sprint Champs and University of Birmingham Rowing up in Nottingham!

Any more - let me know, and as always BEST OF LUCK!"
