Salu-TEA-tions!!
We are the official University of Birmingham Tea Society (TeaSoc) and are back for the 2023-2024 academic year!
-About-
What better way to end your week than endless tea, limitless biscuits, comfy sofas and the best company the university has to offer. Bring your friends along or meet new and interesting people from all walks of life.
Drop by a quick 5 minute brew or stay for the full 2 hours. There are always interesting conversations and discussions going on each week between our members which you can join in with, or just simply read the paper or a book with a nice cuppa if that's what you prefer! No matter who you are, TeaSoc is for everyone and we're sure you will fit right in.
-Where and When-
We host regular Social Meet-Ups every Friday, 1-3 PM in Beorma Bar, Guild of Students
Our first meeting (Semester 1) will be on 29th September.
Membership is not required for our taster sessions during the first few weeks so come on down and make sure to bring along your friends.
We have a wide varietea of teas (black, green, white, oolong, fruit, herbal and tisanes) which we showcase throughout the year through careful selections sometimes to a theme (e.g. Winter Warmers).
Every week we pick out 4 of our unique teas, one of which is a mystery tea where we don't tell you the flavour and invite you to guess! Our 5th pot is always Yorkshire Gold as the UK favourite.
-Events-
We host a varietea of events throughout the year including Cafe Crawls, trips to tea rooms, quizes, book swaps, charitea events, societea collaborations, tea give aways, the list goes on.
