Student Mentor Scheme (SMS)

The Student Mentor Scheme provides advice and guidance to all students living in university accommodation. The service can be accessed by phone, email or visiting the Mentor Welfare office located at Shackleton. Fully trained Mentors and professional support staff will help you resolve any issue.

The Scheme offers a variety of services to you throughout the academic year. This includes a timetable of activity during Welcome Week, individual mentoring support, drop-ins during important times of the year and also mediation to help you work through any flat issues. In addition, you will receive useful information to help you tackle important student issues.

Mentor Welfare Office opening times:
Monday – Friday 2-6pm (term time)
Outside of these opening times please contact your accommodation reception for assistance. Drop in surgeries at Jarratt Hall every Wednesday 4-6pm (Social Centre) and Pritchatts Park every Tuesday 4-6pm (Study Room below reception)
