It’s been a busy year at your Guild and one of our big focuses has been on sustainability. So, we thought this was a great time to share a key few updates from us:
- Within our latest energy report, for the year to date we saw an 18.9% reduction on consumption, a big jump from our previous 12% reduction.
- Alongside this, having initially recycled 7000 kilos of reusable plastics earlier this year, we’ve now progressed to 26,000 kilos.
- Finally, over the course of the year we’ve jumped from saving 3000 kilos of C02 to saving 7000 (the equivalent of heating 5 homes).
Alongside all of the above, we’re currently working in collaboration with the University and Kingston University to achieve our latest Fairtrade Accreditation.
The Fairtrade certification ensures that organisations comply with economic, social and environmental standards.
