Course Overview
The course follows the Signature BSL Lvl1 Specification and is split into three sections:
Throughout the course you will cover many topics including greetings and introductions, numbers, asking for and giving directions, describing people and places, food. For each section you will also take an exam where you will have a conversation in BSL which will be videod and marked. Upon completion of all three units and passing of the exams you will recieve your official certificate from Signature.
Course Duration Other Information
The course will take place throughout university term time, starting the first week of October and ending in June and will consist of a weekly class (there will be three classes running on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) from 6.30pm to 9.00pm.
Classes will take place on Campus at the University and places for each day are offered on a first come, first serve basis however there will be scope to move people around so if you see the day that you want to do the course is not available just send us an email at talking-hands@guild.bham.ac.uk and we will do our best to get you a place on the course.
Course Costs and Payment Options
The full cost of the course os £255 and covers yout tuition as well as exam fees. Tickets can be purchased here, on the guild website. Tickets for each day are listed under a seperate event (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). If you are unable to get tickets through the website, for whatever reason, let us know and we will make sure that either the system is fixed or an alternative method of payment is provided.
