Your Guide to Societies Fairs

Graphic which says 'Your complete guide to Societies Fair'

Want to meet and join student groups but not sure where to start? We've got you!

A great place to do this is at our various student group fairs taking place during Welcome Week. As there are a few different Fairs, we thought it might be useful to compile this short blog to overview what each one is all about.

MedSoc Fair

20th September, Debating Hall, 11am-4pm

For the first time, we're excited to be hosting the MedSoc Fair at the Guild, in our Debating Hall. Here we'll be showcasing the huge variety of Medical student groups on offer at Birmingham. So if you're going to be studying medicine, make sure you stop by to see what's on offer.

Societies Fair

21st and 22nd September, Guild Marquee, 11am-4pm

This two-day student groups Fair is THE place to be to meet and chat to our fantastic student groups and associations. Each group in attendance will have their own stall and you'll be able to chat to them about their group, what they do, when they meet and find out everything you'll need to know. You'll probably also be invited to sign up to a taster session to see if it's the group for you - we really encourage you to sign up to as many as you like!

Top tip: there will be different societies on each day – so you'll want to come along to both so you don’t miss out!

Give It A Go Fair

23rd September, Guild Marquee, 11am-4pm

While Societies Fair is the chance to talk about groups, this is a much more hands-on, experiential Fair where you can learn new skills. Featuring live demonstrations from members socieities and sports clubs, you'll have the opportunity to 'Give It A Go' and potentially discover new hobbies and passions.

Interested? This event is FREE but make sure you register for a ticket.

In the meantime, why don't you familiarise yourself with our student groups.

See you soon!
