Engineers Without Borders

Do you want to change the world?

Everyone deserves the chance to live in a world where they can achieve their potential and have healthy, happy lives. In reality this is not the case. We are all impacted by climate change, increasing urbanisation and a rapidly expanding global population.

As a member of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Birmingham you can be the one creating sustainable solutions to these challenges by becoming part of a national charity.

You don’t need to be an engineer to be a part of EWB!

As part of EWB Birmingham you can:

  • Boost your own skills enhancing your CV

  • Meet new people

  • Enjoy fun and hands-on workshops

  • Attend trips outside of Birmingham

  • Have fun at one of our many socials (such as bowling, laser quest or nights out)!

Do you want to inspire future generations?

Not only does EWB carry out global humanitarian work; the charity also increases awareness of the nature of problems solved by engineers on a local scale.

As part of EWB Birmingham, you will have the opportunity to inspire children to study STEM subjects by offering fun engineering based workshops in local schools, volunteering at The Big Bang Fair and becoming a registered STEM ambassador. These could be the future leaders of society, or the future engineers that develop innovative products.

These of course are not the only activities we offer as we also undert fundraising events such as PearJam or simple bakesales. Over the year we offer new oppurtunities and activites for all our members so don't be afraid to ask what we do!
