Nominations Committee will usually only review honorary or life memberships from the previous academic year. However, historical cases (i.e. nomination for a University of Birmingham student who has since graduated or left university) will also be considered at the discretion of the Committee. This can be from any previous year.
These requests would be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and verification of student status would be undertaken with UOB Registry services prior to consideration.
Criteria for Historical Requests:
To be eligible to be nominated for an Honorary Life Membership, a former student must:
- Be nominated by a current or fellow former student or nominate themselves for honorary life membership.
Evidence within the nomination of what they or a peer should receive membership for, demonstrating meaningful impact on the student experience.
- This should be completed by following the same criteria outlined within ‘criteria for Honorary Life Membership’.
