Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Student Trustee

Would you like to become a Director of multi-million pound charity, helping us to make big decisions about the future of the Guild of Students? If so, we’re looking for a BAME Trustee to sit on the Guild’s Trustee Board. Could this be the role for you?

About the Trustee Board

The Trustee Board is ultimately responsible for making the big decisions about the running of the Guild. The Board is comprised of 18 people including Guild Officers, University representatives, industry professionals and fellow students – all of whom bring different types of experience and expertise to the role. The Student Trustee roles are:

  • Undergraduate Student Trustee
  • BAME Student Trustee
  • Postgraduate Student Trustee
  • International Student Trustee

About the Role

Being a Trustee is a voluntary role and involves attending 6 Trustee Board meetings each year, plus some preparation time before each one. Our Trustees are an incredibly important part of our governance and play an integral role in the continued running and development of the Guild. Ideally the successful candidate will graduate in July 2022 or later, however we will consider suitable applications from all students.

Closing date for applications: Thursday 10th June 2021, 10:00am

Interview date: Wednesday 23rd June 2021, 09:30am - 14:00pm

Please send completed application forms to s.jones@guild.bham.ac.uk
