Celebrate your first week of living away from home and join us at our Welcome Week Finale, with free food, an open-air cinema, mini golf, hula hoop workshops and much more.
This event will be your chance to:
Settle in
Make new friends
Have something to eat and chat to people
Take part in an activity and have some fun
Ask current students any questions you may have about living in accommodation or life at Birmingham.
You can come to this event either on your own or with your new flatmates. If you do come on your own, our team of Residence Life Assistants are extremely friendly and will introduce you to new people so you're not on your own.
This event is free of charge and open to all students living in our UoB and partner accommodation sites.
This event will take place outside on the grassy space behind Shackleton Accommodation, there is step free access to this area, but it is on an incline. Beanbags and deck chairs will be available for the film showings, if you have any accessibility concerns please email events.reslife@guild.bham.ac.uk and we will do our best to help!
UoB Student ID Cards: If you have one, please ensure that you bring your student ID (if you have one) card to this event and present this on entry. If you are a new student who hasn’t yet collected their Student ID Card, you can provide a member of staff with your 7/8 digit student ID number instead. However, if you don't know your ID number yet, please don't worry, you can still come to the event.
