Join Artist‑in‑Residence Sipho Eric Ndlovu for an immersive poetry workshop that brings the University’s African collection to life. This introductory session invites you to explore selected artefacts up close, uncover the stories they hold and use them as inspiration for your own poetic expressions.
Sipho’s Africanize project blends museum objects, spoken word and storytelling to open up conversations about African heritage, culture and empowerment. Through poetry, movement and community facilitation, his work creates accessible spaces where participants can interpret histories collectively and connect with the richness of the African diaspora.
Whether you’re a seasoned writer or trying poetry for the first time, this workshop offers a unique chance to engage with live artefacts, reflect on their contexts and transform your interpretations into creative work.
