It’s been a year full of amazing Engineers Without Borders events! As another year comes to an end, it’s time for a new committee to take over too!
We are hosting an EGM on Thursday 4th June in room ENG-229 from 18:00–20:00. The following committee positions are available:
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Vice Chair of Outreach
- Vice Chair of Events
- Events Coordinators (x2)
- Outreach Coordinator (x1)
- Publicity Officers (x2)
- Inclusion and Diversity Officer
To apply, please come to the EGM with a short pitch (1–3 minutes) explaining why you would be a good fit for the role you wish to apply for.
If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to be considered, please send a short paragraph to the society email (ewb@society.guild.bham.ac.uk). The committee will read this during the event as your pitch.
Being on committee is a great opportunity to get more involved with Engineers Without Borders UK while developing valuable skills that employers look for. It is also a rewarding experience and a great way to build networks and connections for future employment opportunities.
Even if you do not plan on running for a position, please still attend to make your voice heard. This is the best way to help ensure the society benefits its members and to shape the events and activities we host in the future.
