Stand-up, Sketches and a barrel of laughs!
Events
We hold weekly workshops for both stand-up and comedy writing. Our writers workshops offer a friendly and supportive space to readthrough any written comedy material that you would like to present, whether a complete piece or a work-in-progress. It is a very relaxed atmosphere to get a test audience of writers to engage with your work. We also play written improv games and host watch parties for sketches.
Our stand-up workshops are similar to writers workshops, with a specific focus on writing stand-up comedy. In these workshops you can practice your stand-up material in a low-stakes supportive environment. We are a space for both those looking to get into stand-up comedy (We know how daunting it can be!) and for those who are experienced.
You DONT need a membership to attend and participate in our workshops.
A membership offers you the ability to perform in our stand-up shows and get your written sketches produced, be that filmed or staged. You cannot do either of these without a membership.
Our workshops take place in the Guild of Students. Any changes to the below information will be on our Instagram first.
Writer's Meetings - 7pm Wednesdays
Stand-up Workshops - 6pm Thursdays
