Meet the Griffins! 🎉

MedCheer is a mixed, open to all abilities society founded in 2023, made up of students from a range of courses. So, whether you've had diamanté in your veins since you were five or would struggle with a forwards roll (there’s a lot of us), there is a spot here for you :) 

We train together up to twice a week to bring to life two routines - one is full of stunts with a bit of dance and tumbling (non-essential), and the other is a sassy pom-style dance number. 

You'll not only catch us at half time shows cheering on MedSoc sports teams throughout the year, but also at the big annual showcase in Nottingham. We will also be running a range of socials, as well as the annual international tour (end of November), because what's a better way of getting to know new people than to travel with them! 

Joining the Griffins is a great way to decompress, maybe learn a new skill, and stay active at uni while having some fun. More importantly, it's where you will build new friendships. We are a team of kind, funny, creative individuals that love to dress in gorgeous kit and put on a show! We also won the MedSoc Rising Star Award at the last MedBall... a sign of incredible things to come...Go Griffins!
