Fancy improving your core strength, flexibility, and inner peace, all while finding your new best friends? Then University of Birmingham Yoga Society is for you! All our classes are suitable for beginners, all lead by with professional teachers from yoga studios around Birmingham. Our classes run four times a week. Monday classes (4:30-5:30) are taught by Sophie, Wednesday morning classes (10-11:00am) are taught by Karine, and our once a month Friday wind down classes (5:30-6:30pm) by Sumita. All classes are normally paid for at the door before each class (we can only take cash), however with current virtual classes running due to the pandemic, classes will be paid for via an online ticketing system on the guild website where you will then be given log in details to join our zoom classes!
We will be running 2 1 hour classes per week, at only £2 for members! We will also be holding monthly wind down classes with Sumita, the third wone will be next week!

Next week on 28/04/21 we are going to be hosting a virtual yoga retreat! Consisting of 2 and a half hours of yoga, by Karine and Sumita, a journal writing workshop and a lunchtime cookalong! It will run from 9:45-2:45 and tickets start from £7 https://www.guildofstudents.com/events/12492/5558/

This society is perfect for beginners wanting to give something new a go, as well as for those who are a little bit more experienced (the majority of the committee were beginners so don't worry at all if you've never tried it before)! We run loads of socials (brunches and pizza nights are a yoga staple), as well as taking part in both Societies Nights and Sports Nights with pres as a society. Practicing yoga will not only help improve your flexibility/strength but you'll have a chance to make friends and have fun too.
