Fancy improving your core strength, flexibility, and inner peace, all while finding your new best friends? Then University of Birmingham Yoga Society is for you! All our classes are suitable for beginners, all lead by with professional teachers from yoga studios around Birmingham. Our classes run four times a week. Monday classes (5-6:30pm) are taught by Sophie, Tuesday classes (4:15-5:45pm) are taught by Faye (who also owns Barefoot Yoga Studio in Harborne), Wednesday morning classes (10-11:15am) are taught by Karine, Friday classes (4:15-5:45pm) by Tania. All classes are paid for at the door before each class (we can only take cash).
We will be running many taster sessions in the first few weeks to have a go and see how you feel about yoga!

This society is perfect for beginners wanting to give something new a go, as well as for those who are a little bit more experienced (the majority of the committee were beginners so don't worry at all if you've never tried it before)! We run loads of socials (brunches and pizza nights are a yoga staple), as well as taking part in both Societies Nights and Sports Nights with pres as a society. Practicing yoga will not only help improve your flexibility/strength but you'll have a chance to make friends and have fun too.
We will also be running a yoga retreat (previous trips have included Morocco and Fuertaventura!) so make sure you look at our social media for more details on how to get involved!
Come along for classes in the Cadbury room in St Francis Hall (O2 on the campus Map, right next to the guild) on Tuesday and Friday, and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Guild. The more you come to our sessions, the more the teachers will get to know you as a person and will help you to improve!
