The Guild of Students is a student-led organisation that decides on policy democratically and then campaigns to achieve it. Our main purpose is to represent YOU during your time at the University of Birmingham. You have the power to make change within your Students’ Union and also the University – and, whatever you want to change, we can do it together.

Higher education in the UK is currently undergoing lots of significant changes – and these are often challenging for students. We are here to support and empower you to campaign locally and nationally on issues such as course cuts, tuition fees and student debt.

Your Guild Officer Team work with you to highlight issues affecting Birmingham students and influence university policy. Together, we’ve kept accommodation prices affordable, lowered printing fees on campus and extended library opening hours, just for starters!

To ensure that you get what you need from us, when you need it, we have created a set of promises which we will always aim to deliver.
