The University of Birmingham Friends of Palestine Society is a student-led community focussed on raising awareness of Palestinian history, culture, and current issues, while creating an inclusive space for students to learn, connect, and take part in meaningful action.
A key part of the society is its engaging social events, which brings students together through cultural events, discussion-based activities, food, games, and community gatherings. These events help build a welcoming network on campus and give members the opportunity to meet like-minded people in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The society also works to raise awareness through educational events, talks, panels, campaigns, and collaborations with other student groups. These activities aim to encourage informed discussion, amplify Palestinian perspectives, and give students opportunities to learn more about the humanitarian, cultural, and political issues affecting Palestinians.
