House Hunting

Not long after arriving at University, many students are already thinking about where to live in their second year. Finding both people to live with and a suitable house can be a daunting prospect; however the Student Mentor Scheme is here to help. Through a range of events and our comprehensive House Hunting Guide, we provide you with all the information you need. A great place to start is Guild Lettings, our very own lettings service!

  • Our House Hunting Information Day provides advice and guidance on finding an accredited landlord, getting into a safe contract, deposits, utility bills, and where you can live in the local area. A range of local services and Guild and University departments will also be in attendance to answer any questions you may have.
  • Our Mixing Events are an opportunity to find likeminded students to live with next year.
  • The Guild has its very own lettings agent – Guild Lettings – and their housing fair on the 27th November showcases properties with accredited landlords where there are no signing or administration fees! At the back of the House Hunting Guide there is a useful table that lists all the events taking place this house hunting season.
